I believe that insight and self awareness are key to understanding ourselves better and making lasting change in our lives. We tend to grow in a supportive, non-judgmental and warm environment, which I seek to provide for you during our time together. I value a holistic approach to healing which entails taking into account the whole person and acknowledging our complexity as human beings.
As a therapist, it is my vocation to walk alongside you in your journey of reclaiming agency in your life and holding space for you to step into your power. I believe one primary way that we heal is through relationships, and the therapeutic relationship is no exception. The theoretical and practical therapies I use include Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Experiential Approaches, Mindfulness Based Techniques, Somatic Therapies, Adlerian, Existential and Feminist Theory. I believe that these can help bring us back to ourselves and the present moment, as well as help us gain insight into our lives.
When I’m not working with clients, you’ll find me tackling a new creative project (I’ve been wanting to get back into sewing clothes, which I did in high-school), or daydreaming about getting a dog. A bit of a self proclaimed book nerd, I love learning new things and am always diving into a different topic or area of psychology.
